一个连结体 (クラスター, kurasutā, Cluster)是437台机凯种个体组成的部队单位，由一台指挥体指挥，然后所有指挥体皆听令于全连结指挥体爱因兹希。目前已知在大战的最后存在着32个连结体，包括依蜜尔爱因所属的Emir连结体和休比·多拉曾经隶属的尤巴连结体。
为了不影响全体，某个体如果被判定为故障发生错误时，连结体可以把该机体强制解除连结（例如试图了解“心”而产生大量错误的休比）。
An excommunicated unit may also seek permission to reconnect with the cluster in special cases. However also in Schwi's case, it took 251 seconds to sync all data with the cluster due to the large amount of data associated with her "heart" (she mentioned that there were no amount of data required more than 3 seconds to sync before). During this, total damage to the unit is unacceptable.
